Funny and silly like the first。 I gave it 3 stars because there is some unnecessary sexual content in a book intended for elementary age readers。 Pete the Cat makes a love gun to force people to love him so much that they give him their money。 Instead they chase him shouting things like "Gimme some sugar， baby" and "Granny needs her vittles"。 Really？ Heart eyes and "I love you" would have gotten the point across just fine。 Thankfully， my 5 year old can't read yet so I could pick and choose which Funny and silly like the first。 I gave it 3 stars because there is some unnecessary sexual content in a book intended for elementary age readers。 Pete the Cat makes a love gun to force people to love him so much that they give him their money。 Instead they chase him shouting things like "Gimme some sugar， baby" and "Granny needs her vittles"。 Really？ Heart eyes and "I love you" would have gotten the point across just fine。 Thankfully， my 5 year old can't read yet so I could pick and choose which love messages to read aloud。 。。。more

The fact that the twist at the end was so perfectly executed and hidden in plain sight， and was more sophisticated than some novels I’ve read， was very satisfying！ Also page 148， where the kids have no idea what various pieces of technology are， made me smile。

I was so excited when I found this book。 Finally！ The second book of Dog Man！ As I was reading today， I saw that Petey had a Love Spray。 When he sprayed it on people， they loved him！ But like， in the inappropriate way。 This guy was saying he wanted to marry Petey！ They were all saying， "I love you！" "Marry me！" "Hubba hubba！" and just things that really upset me。 It seemed really inappropriate， and unless you want to here about girls and boys saying that they love and wanna marry Petey， then I d I was so excited when I found this book。 Finally！ The second book of Dog Man！ As I was reading today， I saw that Petey had a Love Spray。 When he sprayed it on people， they loved him！ But like， in the inappropriate way。 This guy was saying he wanted to marry Petey！ They were all saying， "I love you！" "Marry me！" "Hubba hubba！" and just things that really upset me。 It seemed really inappropriate， and unless you want to here about girls and boys saying that they love and wanna marry Petey， then I don't recommend。 The rest of the book was very good， and I can't believe I have to put three stars on this review。 The other books I've are all fives， so why can't this one be， too？ Maybe instead of Petey having a Love Spray， he should just have a Give Me Money Spray or something like that。 。。。more

For ages 7-10， hilarious graphic novel series。 This one has a lot of stuff going on， establishing some new characters， and lots of flip-o-rama。 （I am so impressed with how he does those。） My husband has read all of these， and I've seen bits of the later ones。 If you read them all， in the long run this series is about redemption and love。 Many kids do read them all。 For ages 7-10， hilarious graphic novel series。 This one has a lot of stuff going on， establishing some new characters， and lots of flip-o-rama。 （I am so impressed with how he does those。） My husband has read all of these， and I've seen bits of the later ones。 If you read them all， in the long run this series is about redemption and love。 Many kids do read them all。 。。。more
